Accepting 300mm Rebar: Check the Transfer, Too
Check cut length, continuous transfer, the correct receiving pocket and the downstream handoff. Chituo’s confirmed conveying range is 300mm–12m; verify unloading and downstream integration for the chosen configuration.
The few metres after the cutter deserve close attention during a short-bar trial. Producing a 300mm piece demonstrates cutting capability. Follow that same piece to its receiving position to understand the complete handling process.
Follow four handoff points
This is a process schematic, not a scale drawing.
| Point | What to observe | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Cutter | The specified finished length | Stock specification and measured length |
| Conveyor | Continuous support and smooth travel | Jams, tipping and manual assistance |
| Sorting | Delivery to the assigned pocket | Pocket number, physical count and task record |
| Handoff | An identifiable receiving position | Unloading method and configuration scope |
Include boundary lengths and mixed orders
Chituo uses a continuous slat-chain bed. Its confirmed finished-bar conveying range is 300mm–12m. Include the 300mm boundary, your usual lengths and a mixed long-short task in the trial. Verify destination pockets and downstream handling on the actual configuration offered.
Conveying, side discharge and receiving mechanisms differ by equipment model. Ask for the length range at each handoff rather than relying on a single minimum cutting-length figure.
Bring a small, representative cut list
Use your regular diameters, short lengths and quantities, with a destination for each item. Record interventions, jams and recovery, and retain a continuous video of the trial. These observations give the engineering team a concrete basis for configuration discussions.
